Useless Knowledge of the Day: The Shock Master
Even though the Shock Master is one of my favorite wrestling gimmicks of all time, it is actually one of the most infamous and worst gimmick of WCW. Fred Ottman ( Shock Master) had two other gimmicks in WWF before the shock master: Tugboat and Typhoon. He debuted in the WCW in a tag team match with Sting, Dustin Rhodes, and Davey Boy Smith. His costume consisted of a storm trooper helmet covered in glitter, a black vest, and jeans. He was originally supposed to crash through a wall, but acidentally tripped and fell through the wall. This gimmick did not last because no one could take him seriously. He eventually re-debuted as the Super Shock Master, but that failed as well.
